Daily Inspiration: Today

Hey guys,

Today I wanted to share this short and simple poem that came as an inspiration early this morning. We are surrounded by so much beauty; so much celebration…nature does all it can, relentlessly day after day, to bring this message to us. I really hope that each one of us take a little moment everyday just to appreciate everything and simply be happy.

I have titled the poem “Today” and of course, the inspiration behind this poem is my Gurudev, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.

Today

 

Why not Smile more today
For who knows what tomorrow may hold,
Today could be better than the lost yesterdays
And the unseen tomorrows that are yet to unfold...

Why not Give more today
For who knows what tomorrow may bring,
Today we could be having more with us
Than we may possibly think...

Why not Live more today
For who knows if we will see tomorrow's Sun,
Today we can have precious moments
Doing meaningful things that we've only just begun...

Why keep worrying, fretting and fearing
For that which no longer exists,
Why keep a long face today
Trying to tick off endless lists...

Why not go out and embrace the world today
For you may be struck with wonder at all the Beauty,
The magnanimity, the Love, the Belongingness, the Smiles
Which you have probably missed all these days...

Why not be more open and listen to what others have to say
For who knows...they may teach you something special today!

When the Mind tells you today that there is no reason to Smile...

Smile and tell the Mind,
 

Who needs a reason when I have the Divine's Love which alone is worthwhile...!!
